The Grand Canal (in Irish An Chanáil Mhór) is a canal located in Dublin, Ireland. It has a distance of 131 km. The Grand is the one that is located more towards the South part of a pair of channels that connect the East of the city, with the West part of the river Shannon; between the two they almost surround the interior of Dublin. Its sister channel is located in the northern part of the city and is called Royal Canal.
