Matthew Szulik

Matthew J. Szulik - Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Red Hat, was a leader of other technology companies such as Interleaf and MapInfo for more than 20 years.

Szulik is passionate about improving educational opportunities for students around the world through open source, and he is the spokesperson for industry, government, and education leaders on open source. p>

Szulik is the president of the Science and Technology Board for the State of North Carolina's Economic Development Board. In his past he was president and chief executive officer of the North Carolina Electronics and Information Technologies Association.

Szulik was recently recognized by the CIO Magazine with the 20/20 Vision Award. ([1], [2])

Szulik graduated from Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire.
