Kasen
The Kasen (also known as "Immortal", "poet-genius" or "poet's saint"), on the other hand, is the most popular form of Japanese Renku poetry 36 stanzas. A kase is assigned to a season, but all four seasons occur in it. The seal is based on a template, which determines the location of the season and topic.
Kasen consists of three parts: the introduction (also prologue or overture) with six verses, the main movement (also development or extension) with 24 verses and the conclusion (also conclusion or epilogue) with six verses. The first verse is called Hokku and determines the season, which gives the kase still to be composed (for example winter kases). The Hokku agrees the participants in the Kettendichtung. The closing verse is called Ageku and always refers to the spring. The Ageku closes the Renku in an optimistic mood.
The Haiku, which is spread all over the world, originated from the Hokku. Single-level Edit source text Weblinks Edit sourcetext
