Wilhelm Christian Hochstetter
Wilhelm Christian Hochstetter (born March 4, 1825 in Esslingen, Germany) was a German botanist and university gardener and inspector of the botanical garden in Tübingen. His official botanical author's slogan is "W.Hochst."
He was the son of Christian Ferdinand Friedrich Hochstetter. From him came books on conifers, and he published about the Amazonian Riesenseerose (Victoria regia), whose multiplication succeeded him in Tübingen.
