Edward J. Lynch (born June 1, 1860, in Franklin County, New York, USA) was a US-American politician. He belonged to the Republican Party.
Born in the US East Coast, Lynch came to California in 1879. He farmed a farm southeast of Sacramento. In 1904 he was elected to the California State Assembly (election district 19), two years later he won the election. Once again, Lynch ran for the House of Representatives in November 1910 - the 19th district had meanwhile been Lynch's party leader and William W. Greer - and was reelected with 51.5% of the vote.
In 1911, Edward Lynch was one of the 17 members of the California State Legislature's 120 members, who opposed the Senate Constitutional no. 8, which introduced the right to vote in California.
Lynch died after several months of severe illness in his home near Sacramento at the end of 1912. Weblinks Edit sourcetext
