The Wadenau castle is an abandoned water castle in the district of Kusel (Rhineland-Palatinate).

The former water castle built by the knights of Wadenau, or fortified court, is thought to be in the south-western part of today's village Thallichtenberg or on the Gemarkung of the municipality Dennweiler-Frohnbach. The seal of the knight Bertram von Wadenau from the year 1290 shows two crossbars, which were occupied by three and two balls.
