Cangahua (parish)
Cangahua is one of the oldest rural parishes in the canton Cayambe (Ecuador) and is located southeast of the canton. It was created in 1790.
In the southwest of the parish of Cangahua is the inactive volcano Pambamarca, in whose páramo in the middle of the second millennium were built pucarás, possibly by the Caranquis Indians or by the Incas.
The most representative tourist sites are: PAMBAMARKA: Archaeological Complex. QUITO LOMA: Pre-Inca construction of a circular stone shape, where the Kayambis resisted the invasion of the Inkas for more than 17 years. HALF OF THE WORLD GUACHALÁ: Exact place indicating latitude 0,0,0
Expressive and cultural.- Every 29 and 30 of June are celebrated the holidays of the Sun or Inti Raymi, with the singular taking of the place.
