Maristen
The Marists are a group of religious communities in the Catholic Church, closely related in their orientation and history. They include the Marist school brothers (F.M.S.), the Maristschwestern (S.M.), the Maristpatres (S.M.) and the Maristmissionsisters (S.M.S.M.) as well as the laymen.
Founder of the Marist fathers is Jean-Claude Colin. In 1816, together with Jeanne-Marie Chavoin, he founded the sisters of the holiest name MariƤ or Marist sisters. Founder of the Marist school brothers was Marcellin Champagnat in 1817. Weblinks Edit sourcetext
