Karl Anrather

Karl Anrather (* May 21, 1861 in Margreid, † 17 January 1893 ibid) was a South Tyrolean painter. The most famous historical painting Anrathers: "Chancellor Biener on the Tyrolean Landtag" (dated Vienna 1891)

He grew up on a farm at the request of his father in Innsbruck. Contrary to his will, he studied painting in Munich. Today he is one of the most important painters of South Tyrol in the late 19th century.
