The Israeli Fire and Rescue Service (in Hebrew: הרשות הארצית לכבאות והצלה) is the Israeli state fire fighting and rescue organization. The organization also carries out rescue services following terrorist attacks, traffic accidents, and dangerous substance escapes along with Magen David Adom, the national emergency service. In 2010, the director of the service was Lieutenant General Shimon Romach. Administratively, it depends on the Ministry of Public Security.
