Francisco Puñal is one of the few players nowadays who feel connected to their team and especially to their homeland. Since his personal promotion from the B-Team to the professional team in 1998, he was exclusively responsible for CA Osasuna. The only exception in his career so far was a two-year lending business between 1999 and 2001, where he was to develop further at the then Segunda División Club CD Leganés, near Madrid. Even then, he was able to prove his goal as a playmaker with eleven goals in his two years there.
