Credne [kʲrʲeːðʲnʲe], also Crédne or Creidhne is a legend of the Celtic mythology of Ireland.
Credne is one of the three "gods of the craft" among the Túatha Dé Danann and his brothers Goibniu and Luchta as a child of Danu. He is the personification of the art forging and helps to repair the weapons of the Tuatha de Danaan. In the battle of Mag Tuired, Goibniu forges the strikers with three beating lances and swords, Luchta skins the shank with three shots, and Credne attaches them with three blows.
Together with the doctor Dian Cecht, he makes the silver hand for King Nuada.
Creidne is also the name of a mythological Irish warrior. Edit source text Edit source text Single-level Edit source text
