Tatehuari
Tatewari pr: tatebarì (from Huichol language: Our grandfather fire) is the protector god of the Huichols, representing fire. Tatewari, is considered the maximum deity of the tuapuri tribe. The Huichol Route, now considered by some states to be a World Heritage Site, crosses the sacred sites of Wirikuta (Tatewari wahuye). Kauyumari, who is the older brother of the ethnic Huichol and Tatewari are the ones who lead the Huichols on their trip to Wirikuta. During the ceremony in Wirikuta he feeds on the fire (Tatewari), while the peyoteros confess their sexual acts that they have had throughout their life or the acts that they consider that has affected other beings while the grandfather fire protects them. Each time a bad action is expressed, a rope is made with a rope, which at the end of the ceremony will be delivered to the fire after having obtained the energy that is around it.
