Peter Müller grew up in Erlangen, where he later studied German and English at Lehramt. As a first instrument, he learned the recorder, today he mainly plays string instruments such as guitar, bouzouki, mandolin, electric bass, but also keyboard.
At the beginning of the 1990s he played in the band X-Rated.
He became famous as guitarist of the German folk rock band Fiddler's Green, which he founded in 1990. He also worked as a singer and composer for Fiddler's Green.
In addition, Peter Pathos directs the Studio Sonic Slave and releases music under this name.
On April 30, 2006, Peter Pathos played his last concert with Fiddler's Green to realize his musical performances in other bands. Later, he founded the dark-rock band Beloved Enemy. From 2007 to 2010 he was bass player of the band Lacrimas Profundere.
