Lepismatidae
Lepismtidae (Lepismatidae) are a family of primitive insects without wings belonging to the order Thysanura with about 190 species described. The family contains the two most familiar apterigots, the silverfish (Lepisma saccharina) and the firefly (Thermobia domestica).
Lepismátidos are elongated and flattened insects, most of which are scavengers. The abdomen is usually covered with tiny scales and ends with three fences or "tails" of approximately the same length. The compound eyes are small and well separated.
