Dead space 2 is a third-person survival horror videogame, sequel to Dead Space, developed by Visceral Games and published by Electronic Arts for Xbox 360, PC and Play Station 3. Located three years after the events of the first Dead Space, the game follows the fight of the protagonist Isaac Clarke against a new outbreak of necromorphs in Sprawl, a space station on the largest moon of Saturn, Titan. Unlike its predecessor, Dead Space 2 has a multiplayer mode where you can face human characters against necromorphs through the Sprawl station. This was published on January 25, 2011 in the United States and 27 in Europe. The game features a sequel, Dead Space 3, which was released in February 2013.

Argument

The game begins with an introductory sequence that shows the events that happened in the first game, Dead Space, exposing the reasons why the protagonist is in that place and in that instant in time. The story is set three years after Dead Space, with the protagonist traveling adrift through space after escaping from the hell of Aegis VII, being finally rescued and interned in "El Eje", a huge city located on the surface of Titan ( one of the moons of Saturn). In this place and separated from the rest of the colony there is an area known as "Government Sector" where a dark project has been secretly being developed that seeks to take advantage of the new alien technology discovered in Aegis VII to turn it into a terrible weapon. Unknowingly, Isaac Clarke will be part of that project by holding in his mind the keys to building a new Effigy. However, something has happened and the chaos in the facilities has been unleashed. After being awakened abruptly in a hospital by the frightened engineer "Frannco Delille" (of the prequel Dead Space: Ignition) we will take control of our protagonist who, bound in a straitjacket, confused and disoriented by serious lapses of memory, will initiate the desperate a flight in the middle of the new hell that has been generated before him.

From that moment Isaac is once again involved in a direct confrontation with the necromorphs, however, this time these infernal beings will not be their only threat as they will also have to fight against the military forces that persecute him for reasons still unknown for him. Due to the serious upheavals resulting from the drama experienced in Dead Space, Isaac's mind must face the ghosts of the past that will haunt him in the form of visions of Nicole and the terrible episodes that occurred in the USG Ishimura. As the story progresses, Isaac will fit the pieces of the puzzle and discover the terrible reality that hide those facilities as well as the reasons why it is there. If at first our goal is simply to escape, we will soon change our priorities and set ourselves a unique goal, to destroy the project that hides in that place. Although from the beginning everything seems to be against us, Isaac crosses with another survivor, Ellie Langford, who despite their initial hostility provides us with a providential help. However, Ellie will not be our only human company throughout history. On our way we will meet other survivors who seem to share our same goals.
