Kriegerpad
Kriegerpad is the name for a section of an old road which, since the Bronze Age, connected the Netherlands with the middle Ems and (via the Folkweg) with the middle Weser and passed into the Lüneburg Heath. This section runs along the route of the Kriegerdamm today between the district Osterlindern of the municipality of Lindern and the district Ermke of the municipality Molbergen. Both municipalities are located in the Lower Saxony district of Cloppenburg. Other parts of the Altstraße, located in the east of the Kriegerpad, are the Herzog-Erich-Weg and the Reuterweg.
As the warrior's pad is near the border of Leda and Hase, and is in a dry state for a longer time than the lower areas, it was used as a trade route and an army route. He owes his name to the latter. Single-level Edit source text
