Gottfried de Hegghe
Gottfried de Hegghe (* 14th century in Dorsten, 15 th century, usually also as Gottfried de Dursten or Gottfried de Dorsten) was a German theologian and Cologne professor.
Gottfried de Hegghe studied at the mediaeval University of Cologne from 1402 onwards, where he became a university professor and at the same time, from 1410 to 1420, headed Bursa Corneliana there. In the winter semester of 1413/1414 he became a rector of the university and in 1416 dean of the artist faculty. At the Council of Constance he took part as one of four deputies from the University of Cologne. In the Council's files, he is repeatedly represented in the deposition of the counterpart, Benedict XIII. mentioned. Edit source source text Edit source text
