The Slokar Quartet (also: Slokar Trombone Quartet or German Slokar Quartet or Slokar Trombone Quartet) is a trombone quartet from Switzerland. It now consists of Branimir Slokar, Wassil Christov, Armin Bachmann and György Gyivicsan, replacing ex-member Edgar Manyak.

The quartet was created by Branimir Slokar in 1973 and interprets works from early baroque to modern. The ensemble collaborated with various composers of contemporary trombone literature such as Jörg Ewald Dähler or Jan Koetsier, as well as with music producers in the crossover genre as in 1999 with Jochen Rieger for his conceptual project Faszination Posaunen. In addition, the quartet released several albums and appeared on the radio and television. Discography Edit the source text Single-level Edit source text Weblinks Edit sourcetext
