Sonia Morales

Sonia Morales is a Peruvian folklore, mainly dedicated to the Huayno with harp accompaniment. She grew up in Musho (district) Musho in the Áncash region and went to the capital Lima after the end of elementary school. There she was discovered at a talent contest and part of the folklore group "Las Chicas Mañaneras". As this dissolves, Sonia begins to develop her own career, which initially makes her predominantly in the rural regions, since 2004 in all Peru to the currently most famous Huayno interpreter. With dozens of self-compositions and reinterpretations of traditional ways, Sonia Morales finally goes on tour through several Andean countries, Europe, as well as the USA.
