Jiří Kroupa

Jiří Kroupa (born October 9, 1951 in Brno, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech art historian and since 1999 director of the Art History Seminar at Masaryk University in Brno.

Kroupa is concerned with the history of the creation of different artistic works, focusing on the baroque epoch. Most of his texts arose as lecture notes, which he later processed into scientific essays.
