BB Steal

BB Steal is a British hard rock and AOR band originally from Sydney, Australia, which started in the late 80's and reached its success in the 90's with its album "On the Edge" produced by Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen. Currently, they are recording their new album, "Resurrección". History

BB Steel was created by former BOSS members, vocalist Craig Csongrady, guitarist Kevin Pratt, and drummer Peter Heckenberg. The band's first single, 'I Believe', was written by Jesse Harms and was later recorded by Survivor frontam Jimi Jamison on their debut solo album. In spite of being an excellent single, when 'I Believe' fails in the charts of Australia, they diminish its keyboard and its sound hardened considerably. Then, Peter Heckenberg, happens to join The Bombers, but later would be replaced by James Young for the album. In 1992, BB Steal released their acclaimed album "On the Edge". Recorded in Los Angeles (USA) and Montreal (Canada), this work was designed by Rob Jacobs (Bon Jovi, Eagles, Don Henley) and Pete Woodroffe (Def Leppard), with drums performed by Scott Crago (Eagles) under the guitar of Andy Cichon (Shania Twain, Billy Joel and Madonna) and the guitars / choirs / co-production of Phil Collen (Def Leppard). The album had a moderate success, that allowed to him an Australian tour with Def Leppard. p>

In 2006 there was a return to the studio, with a new album called "Resurrection". This album was very different in style, apart from being now a trio, they have a more modern approach, and some could say that it was the most "individualistic" of all BB Steal broadcasts. Although, it seems that this album was never officially released, as it seems to have been leaked on the internet illegally.

BB Steal returned in 2009 after putting the finishing touches on a new album and currently unreleased "Resurrection" produced by Csongrady and Peter Blyton. The band has two shows of support with the angels in Adelaide and will soon announce the travel dates of the East Coast.
