Zhang Daqing originated in Henan Province.

He is the co-discoverer with Kaoru Ikeya of the periodic comet 153P / Ikeya-Zhang. He is the first Chinese amateur astronomer to have given his name to a periodic comet. It is also a manufacturer of telescopes. He discovered the periodic comet 153P / Ikeya-Zhang using his home-made telescope on February 1, 2002. Change the code
