Mutakkil-Nusku
Mutakkil-Nusku ("To which Musku endows with confidence"), was an Assyrian monarch of fleeting reign (in 1133 a.), in a period of decay. At the death of his father, Ashur-Dan I, he rebelled against his brother, Ninurta-Tukulti-Ashur, who had inherited the throne, and snatched it, after a civil war, in which the provinces fought against the center of the kingdom.
It appears in the Khorsabad kings list, which says that "Mutakkil-Nusku, brother of Ninurta-tukultī-Aššur, fought against him. He took him to Karduniash (Babylon). Contemporary evidence suggests that Ninurta-tukultī-Aššur sought refuge in the border town of Sišil, where Mutakkil-Nusku's forces confronted him in a battle, the result of which has been lost.
Shortly after expelling his brother, he died, being succeeded by his son Ashur-resh-ishi I.
