The Australian
The Australian (also called The Oz) is a newspaper owned by Rupert Murdoch and News Corporation. Its head office is in Sydney, but it has offices throughout Australia. It was founded in 1964, but in the next thirty years did not achieve high rates of profitability. The number of readers is approximately 130,000 and 295,000 by the weekends.
