A seille is a wooden or metal container, round or oval, similar to a bucket or basin by its shape. The shaft usually has two lateral handles protruding or cut in the wood. It is a large container that used to be used in housework, washing clothes or bathing children, for example.

The milking suture is a smaller model for collecting milk when milking animals. It has only one side handle.
