Plàudite Teatre is a non-profit association created in 1998 in the city of Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona) with the aim of promoting activities related to the world of Culture, Art and Training through the Performing Arts . The neighborhood of Santa Eulàlia - with a wide theatrical tradition - and its Cultural Center are the stages that serve as a crucible between the association and its artistic expression.
Since its inception Plàudite Teatre develops its activities in two main areas: Creation and Training.
Plaudite Teatre makes the Performing Arts a tool of social cohesion and connection between the different groups and institutions of the city creating networks between those who cohabit a same space, through its imprint of professionalism, Theater of Movement and a contemporary poetic plasticity.
Pludite is the imperative of the Latin verb "plaudo" which means to applaud. This word was used by some characters from the Plautus comedy at the end of the performance to ask for the applause of the public and indicate that the work had concluded. (3rd century BC).
