The Archbishop of Perth, Launcelot John Goody, consecrated him as a priest on 4 September 1971.

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Bunbury on 11 June 2001. The Bishop of Bunbury, Peter Quinn, gave him the bishop's consecration on 5 September of that year; Co-criminals were Robert Healy, emeritus auxiliary bishop in Perth, and Barry Hickey, Archbishop of Perth. Weblinks Edit sourcetext
