Faculty of Medicine, University of Costa Rica

The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Costa Rica is located at the Rodrigo Facio headquarters.

During the Presidency of the Republic exercised by Dr. Rafael Angel Calderón Guardia, when dictating the Constitutional Congress Act No. 362, dated August 26, 1940, which founded the University of Costa Rica, provided that the institution which had been called until then Faculty of Medicine, was known as the College of Physicians and Surgeons, which would have the same powers and that, when the School of Medicine of Costa Rica was created, it would be called, with all property, Faculty of Medicine of Costa Rica.
