Corintio order
Scheme of the order composed of the columns of the Pantheon of Rome. The composite order is a Roman union of the three classical orders.
The Corinthian order is the most elegant and ornate of the classical architectural orders. Its creation is attributed to the Greek sculptor CalĂmacco in century IV a. C. Essentially it is similar to the Ionic order, of which it differs basically in the shape and size of the capital. One of the most remarkable constructions executed according to the stylistic guidelines of the Corinthian order is the monument of LisĂcrates in Athens, raised towards 334 a. C.
