The following is rescued from the story: Yana Amaru according to interpretation of the story.

The Wancas are told that their ancestors lived in caves, because in the surroundings of a great lake inhabited terrible beasts that attacked them. So they implored Wiraqucha, who in turn ordered Tulumanya (the Rainbow) to send them help. It was thus that he made a fabulous beast, with a wanaku head, wings and claws of Wamanpallpa, legs of uturunku in a body of Kurtashu, covered with scales, that rose in a tail anaconda: it was Yana Amaru (of dark color) which had to end with those beasts that tormented the settlers of the region. But once the order was fulfilled, this one in turn began to attack them, reason why they again begged, and then was generated Yuraq Amaru (of silver color) to fight to the first one. However, interchanges and their huge fights, caused even greater havoc. It is then that Wiraqucha sent Illapu (the Lightning) and Wayrapuka (the Wind) to fight them. Upon seeing them, the two Amarus dived into the lake, but Illapu broke a bank and Wayrapuka pushed the waters to overflow and so the lake dried up, leaving the Amarus exposed. They then tried to flee to heaven, but Wayrapuka brought them back, and Illapa gave them the definitive combat. Shortly before dying, both Amarus stretched and grew even more, becoming the two mountain ranges that wallow the valley. The major one towards the west, becoming a mountain range of fertile farmland and extensive pastures, while the smaller one made towards the protuberance, with perpetual snows, that from the snowy of Waytapallana, is the supplier of the waters of the thaw that is use in irrigation as well as for human consumption.
