Walnut Valley Sailing Club
The Walnut Valley Sailing Club is a yacht club located in El Dorado, Kansas.
It was founded in 1937 as a Wichita Sailing Club in Wichita (Kansas) and its fleet sailed in Lake Santa Fe, a reservoir located between Wichita and Augusta. In 1985 he moved to El Dorado, where he is currently, after building the lake El Dorado, another reservoir, in the river Walnut, and changed of denomination to the present one.
His sailor Theodore Arthur Wells, known as Ted Wells, won two Snipe class world championships in 1947 and 1949, as well as three United States championships.
