Jordanhill is an Argyle Line station and the North Clyde Line in the Jordanhill district of Glasgow (Scotland). By connecting to both parallel lines, it is one of the few railway stations which has direct connections to both Glasgow's main railway stations, Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street.

The station was opened on 1 August 1887 as the starting point of the railway line of Glasgow, Yoker and Clydebank Railway. The train station is close to the Jordanhill campus of the Strathclyde University, not far from the banks of the Clyde.

As part of the Argyle line, the station is used mainly by commuters traveling from and to Glasgow's center. Previous station of the line is Hyndland, nearest station is Scotstounhill. The stop is operated by the railway company Abellio ScotRail.

On 28 April 1980 a serious accident occurred at the station. A train with 80 passengers on the way from Dalmuir to Motherwell derailed at a railway junction shortly after the exit from the station. The first of the three wagons jumped out of the rail and 15 people were injured. Weblinks Edit sourcetext Commons: Station Jordanhill - collection of pictures, videos and audio files
