In 1995, Tim McIlrath began to play various small concerts in the Chicago area, and a year later they released Troy's Bucket, which they then began to tour in the Midwest. In the same year, they signed a contract with the independent label Static Station. Another year later the 7-inch Lost Voices ... brought out the great success in the underground scene.
