Vic Berton
Vic Berton (* 7. Mai 1896 in Chicago als Victor Cohen; † 26. Dezember 1951 in Hollywood) war ein US-amerikanischer Jazzschlagzeuger.
Edit LifeQualtext Berton was the son of a theatermusic, playing in various dance orchestras (Paul Whiteman, Vincent Lopez), Roger Wolfe Kahn and then with Red Nichols in the 1920s. He experimented with various pelvic constructions from which the hi-hat was hervorging, and was the first to use timbals in jazz. In 1922, Berton composed the title Sobbin 'Blues together with Art Kassel. In 1924, he became a member of the Wolverines and was also the manager of the Wolves, as well as Red Nichols, Jimmy Dorsey, Miff Mole, and others. in the Studioband The Charleston Chasers.
