TPB (comic)

Compilation of horror stories published by Fawcett Comics.

TPB stands for a collection of stories originally published in comic books reprinted in tome format and compiled in the form of plot arcs (about 5-6 numbers).

Traditionally, a TPB will reproduce the stories as originally conceived in comic book format. Recently, some volumes have been published in a smaller size, known as digest format. This format aims to attract new generations of readers whose first exhibitions to a comic book format have been mainly manga.

In the United States, almost all collections are usually collected in this format with minimal success in their individual publication in comic books; in countries like Spain and Mexico, comic book publishers use them as a single format for certain series depending on the acceptance and sales expected of them because the market is not as broad as the American.
