The Cutthroats 9


The Cutthroats 9 is a band formed by Chris Spencer, a member of Unsane, when Spencer moved to California after Unsane took a break in 2000. The first single was "You Should Be Dead" / "Can not Do a Thing "released by Man's Ruin Records with Spencer on guitar and vocals, Mark Laramie (or Laramee) on bass and Billy Ropple on drums. His first album was called The Cutthroats 9 and was also released by Man's Ruin. The lineup for this recording featured Spence on guitar and vocals, Unsane bassist Dave Curran plus Mark Laremie and Will Carroll on guitar and drums respectively. The next release was a six-song EP which was released by Reptilian Records with Chris on guitar, Mark on bass and Will on drums.

The name of the band refers to Cut-Throats Nine, the English title of the 1972 cult film Condemned to Live, a horror wéstern directed by the Spanish Joaquin Marchent. Members Discography
