Rogerio de Bussy-Rabutin


Rogerio, Count of Bussy-Rabutin was a military man and writer born in Epiry in 1618 and died in 1693.

Biography During the wars of the Fronde was during some time against Louis XIV of France and after making the peace obtained the command of Nivernais and the position of master of field in the cavalry.

He later fell out of favor for having mottled the king's love for Madame de Valliere and was banished for 16 years.

Rogerio left a son who was a bishop of Luzon, who stood out for his talent in the society of his time, a daughter Louise Françoise de Bussy-Rabutin Marquesa de Coligny and was cousin of Madame de Sevigné. Work Sources Complementary bibliography
