Cleopatra (mythology)
For other uses of this term, see Cleopatra (disambiguation).
In Greek mythology, Cleopatra or Cleobula, whose name meant "the pride of her father," was a nymph daughter of the god-wind Boreas and Orita.
Cleopatra married Phineus, of whom she had two children, Plexipo and PandiĆ³n. Her husband disowned her to marry the danaide Idea, and not to hear her complaints, imprisoned her and ripped her eyes out.
Finally, Cleopatra was released by the Argonauts, who according to some authors, killed Phineus.
