Barrio Nuevo (Neuquén)

El Barrio Nuevo is a neighborhood in the city of Neuquén, Argentina, located in the center-south of it. It occupies the area located between the streets Avenida Olascoaga to the east, Onésimo Leguizamón to the west, Juan Julián Lastra to the north and to the south by Lanín street, from Onésimo Leguizamón to Av Olascoaga to the intersection with what has long been a canal, then the limit is determined by the same channel to the Avenida Olascoaga.

It originated in 1908, with the first families located in the streets of San Luis and La Pampa. Among the first families that populated the neighborhood were Castillo, Castro, Abelli, Lavagno, Urra and Altamirano among others.
