Annabelle (potato)
Annabelle is an early, solid-boiling potato variety. It originated from the crossing of Nicola x Monalisa.
The tubers are langoval, resistant to the Pathotypes Ro1, Ro2 and Ro3 of the Yellow Potatoesematodes is Annabelle resistant. Likewise, it is resistant to the leaf-rolling virus and potato scab. Against tubers phytophtora it is only moderately resistant. The Annabelle variety is established on the German market. The potato from the Netherlands was approved in 2002. It should be noted that some literature sources advise against the use of the herbicide active ingredient metribuzin in both pre-emergence and post-emergence treatments.
