Aigilips

Aigilips (ancient Greek Ἀιγίλιψ) is a village of Greek mythology.

In the ship catalog in Homer Ilias, it is named as one of the suburbs of Odysseus. After an attempt at localization by the ancient geographer Strabon, Aigilips, together with the villages Neritos and Krokyleia, also listed on the Ionian island of Leukas, were found in the ship catalog, while the grammarian Stephanos of Byzanz located all three places on the Ionian island of Ithaca Edit source text Edit the source text
