Il mostro di Frankenstein, is an Italian film directed in 1921 by Eugenio Testa.

This is the third appearance on the screen of Mary Shelley's work, it is a very free adaptation of the novel. The film premiered in Rome in 1921, with the title Il mostro di Frankenstein. No copies of the film or any other material are kept, so little data is known about it. The well-known sources say that Albertini interprets the Baron Frankenstein that gives life to the monster, from the corpse of an assassin. The next appearance of the creature will occur in the sound stage and in the Universal Studios, which will create the fourth title of Frankenstein and the most famous in history.
