The Société Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Québec was founded on August 16, 1842 by Dr. Pierre-Martial Bardy. The Jacques Cartier-Brébeuf Monument, erected at Québec, June 24, 1889, by the Société Saint-Jean-Baptiste.
