María Teresa Barge

Maria Teresa Barge Bello (1961) is a Galician politician, mayor by the BNG of the Galician municipality of La Bola, in the province of Orense. Trajectory

Municipal secretary, obtained the place in the municipality of La Bola, being mayor his father, Luis Barge. This one, that first belonged to UCD, later to Centristas of Galicia and finally to Popular Party, passed away in the 2001. Maria Teresa tried to follow the way of his father, but the candidate chosen by the PP was Demetrio Fernández Freire. In the elections of 2003 was presented by the party Initiative by A Bola and obtained four seats. In 2007 she was presented by the BNG obtaining seven seats and becoming the first nationalist mayor of the province of Orense.
