Belfast Blitz
Belfast Blitz is the term used in the English language area for several attacks by the German Air Force against Belfast in April and May 1941, during the Second World War.
The first, minor attack occurred in the night from 7th to 8th April 1941. The second attack was carried out on 15 April 1941 by 200 bombers and applied to the industrial facilities in Belfast, which produced armaments for the British military armaments , Around 900 people died and 1500 were wounded. This was the biggest loss outside London during a single attack.
