Andrés Cuartero Ruiz

Born in Orihuela in 1933.

Oriolano businessman who held various positions in federations and committees representing his business. Among his most representative positions are his appointment as president of the National Committee of Tomato Exporters.

In 1977 he was appointed president of FEXPHAL (Provincial Federation of Entrepreneurs of Fruits and Vegetables in Alicante). He was elected first president of the FEPEX charge that has revalidated to the present time. Under his presidency FEPEX's social base has been expanded from five to twenty-five associations from different regional, provincial and even national levels.

The Council of Ministers granted the Grand Cross to Agrarian merit on December 1, 2006 by Royal Decree 1511/2006 of December 4 as well as the treatment of Excellence. It was Voval collaborator of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Alicante until his death.

He died in Orihuela on February 9, 2009.
