The powder men was a youth TV series of ZDF about the life of a fairground family. The first production of the Alfred Greven production was on January 2, 1972. 13 episodes were shown in color.

Phil and Fee Pulvermann travel with their sons Wim, Tim and Menz as well as the daughter Do as a showman with the shooting gallery Freischütz over the fairgrounds. The showmaker's family is not welcome to the mayor and the family is always put in the way. But the powder men always know how to help themselves.
