José Rafael Salas Errázuriz
José Rafael Salas Errázurriz (Copiapó, November 5, 1864 - Viña del Mar, November 19, 1921) was a Chilean businessman and conservative politician. Early life
Son of Santiago de Salas Palazuelos and Dolores Errázuriz Sotomayor. He studied in the Lyceum of La Serena and later in the National Institute. He then dedicated himself to family businesses at his hacienda in Curacaví.
Married to Ventura Edwards Garriga. Political life
Militant of the Conservative Party, he was deputy deputy for Copiapó in 1891 and for Valparaíso in 1894, but in neither of the two occasions he came to occupy the title.
Senator for Valdivia (1897-1906), integrated the permanent commission of Finance and Industry, which in 1900 became the industry and public works commission. Bibliographic
