During the fall, the "sky divers", skydivers, descend at a variable speed, between 180 and 300 km / h, which allows them to "fly" in relative way, regulating those speeds of descent and / or "moving" by changing its descent path.
A special case of free fall is that which occurs when a BASE jump is performed. Likewise, the descent trajectory can be modified, in a notorious way, with the use of different complements, like wing monkeys that give rise to the denominated "Wingsuit flying", flights or jumps with wing. characteristics
Their background is military, due to the need for military personnel to remain as short as possible exposed to enemy fire and has been consolidated for some decades as a sports practice. Recently there has appeared an instructional modality that has put this sport within the reach of people without prior experience, called tandem jump, in which the student goes with an instructor.
It is usually jumped from a plane at approximately 4,000 meters in height, performing in the downward path various pirouettes, maneuvers and formations before opening the parachute at approximately 1,500 meters above the ground. The time taken in the free fall is approximately one minute and reaches a speed of approximately 250 km / h.
